SEMESTER 2 HAS BEEN SO FAR A VERY ENGAGED ONE; WITH TUTORS ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP, PUSH ME TO DO MORE, AND ADVISE ME HOW TO IMPROVE MY WORKS. THE SITE VISIT ENABLED ME TO EXPLORE ANOTHER VERSION OF MALAYSIA, A SOMEHOW UNTOUCHED PART OF MALAYSIA, AND THE TIMBER HOUSE WAS AN EXOTIC EXPERIENCE.
ASSIGNMENTS WERE CLEARLY EXPLAINED AND I APPRECIATE HOW DETAILED TO TASKS TO BE FULFILLED WERE.
EVERYONE HAS BEEN VERY HELPFUL THROUGHOUT THIS SEMESTER
MADE TO ORDER
THIS PROJECT WAS INSPIRED BY THE ARTIFICIAL TRESS IN PERDANA GARDENS KUALA LUMPUR WHICH I VISITED DAYS BEFORE BEING BRIEFED OF THIS PROJECT. IT CHALLENGED ME TO BE LOCALLY INSPIRED, AND MISS DIANA ENCOURAGED ME TO THINK OUTSIDE OF THE BOX; BY NOT STICKING WITH EQUILATERAL TRIANGLES AS THEY ARE TOO PREDICTABLE. MAKING THIS MODEL INTERACTIVE FORCED ME TO THINK OF WAYS HOW TO MAKE IT WORK IN TERMS OF IT BEING A PROTOTYPE MODEL.
PROJECT 2
WHAT A RELIEF!
THIS PROJECT HAS BEEN RATHER CHALLENGING TO ME BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE NOT ENOUGH EXAMPLES WERE PROVIDED OR I SIMPLY FAILED TO UNDERSTAND THE GIVEN TASK. ALSO I BELIEVE I DID NOT PUT IN ENOUGH EFFORT TO MAKE THIS MODEL OR CHOOSE AND APPROPRIATE PERSPECTIVE. OVERALL I THEN UNDERSTOOD THAT THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS PROJECT IS TO HIGHLIGHT ONE PARTICULARLY INTERESTING AREA OF THE MODEL AND MAKE IT INTO A 3D MODEL. IT IS A VERY INTERESTING CONCEPT.
FINAL PROJECT
TEA, COFFEE OR ME?
THIS PROJECT MADE ME DISCOVER FUTHER THE CONCEPT OF MINIMALISM AND MODERNISM, WHEREBY SIMPLICITY YET UNCLUTTERED-NESS JOINED, THEY FORM A GREAT PAIR. ALL COMFORT MAY BE PROVIDED INTO TINY SPACES. COMPACTED FURNITURES ARE VERY FASCINATING AND CAN BE UTILISED IN VARIOUS WAYS, AND ARE ACTUALLY AESTHETICALLY PLEASING. I FEEL THAT EVEN THOUGH MY CAFE MIGHT LOOK EMPTY, IT SERVES THE PURPOSE, WHILE MAINTAINING ALL COMFORT LEVEL AND THE CHOICE OF PEOPLE.
